Industry Relations Council
The Industry Relations Council (IRC) is a strategically-focused Council
whose mission is to identify healthcare distribution issues and to
recommend policies, positions and solutions to the HDMA Board of Directors
that will enhance patient safety, ensure product integrity and improve
efficiencies of the healthcare supply chain.
The mission statement is achieved by:
- Identifying business processes and technology strategies and solutions.
- Driving collaborative supply chain improvements.
- Enhancing long-term business relationships between healthcare supply
chain constituents.
- Identifying and prioritizing process improvements and issues, as
well as evaluating emerging trends in the healthcare distribution
industry.
- Identifying initiatives outside the healthcare distribution industry
to serve as best practice models.
- Interacting with HDMA Staff and Committees to achieve a safe and
secure supply chain.
- Providing guidance on legislative, regulatory and state issues affecting
the supply chain.
- Recommends policies, position statements and guidance affecting healthcare
distribution issues to the Board.
- Identifying appropriate objectives and goals that support HDMA’s
mission and recommending resources to the HDMA Board.
